Dougie and Julz Mystery Sausage Roll Ride

Posted by Julz and Doogee on February 10, 2019 at 8:10 AM Comments comments (8)

Are you ready for the Mystery Sausage Roll Ride? We just got back from a pre-ride in the tintop and we're looking forward to seeing a few of you next weekend - the more the merrier!

This ride includes some gentle curves  - "Just like Julz" says Dougie. It shouldnt be too challenging for any newer riders. All up, the ride is about 130kms.

We will leave Yamanto at 9am, riding for about an hour then arriving at a half way point mystery comfort and drink stop. We'll relax here for about 30 mins, its quite a lovely spot and you can grab a cuppa or cool drink and use the restrooms, and we can have a good yarn.

If you do grab something to eat at this half-way mystery stop, you'd better leave room for the sausage rolls which are at the end of the ride!

After this, its about 45-50 minutes to our final destination where yummy home-made sausage rolls will be served with a cuppa for those that want one, or cold water is available.

We need to have some corner markers but not too many. We will only need a couple on the first half of the ride, then we'll need a few more in the last half of the ride, toward the end.

Julz is Ride Leader and Dougie is tail-end Charlie until our mystery half way stop. After that, Dougie is going to head off to get the sausage rolls ready, so a volutneer tail-end Charlie will be needed for the final part of the ride.

There will be tons of sausage rolls, so be hungry

The branch is catering for the Sausage Sizzle, providing drinks and loads of games for you and your families.

9 am start  BYO Chair n blanket if  you wish, and don't forget to slip slop slap.

It would be ideal if we could have an idea of numbers - so pls RSVP below - or text Ado on 0433 874 512.

Oops, can't believe it, I put the kawasaki down and hurt my pride and scrached up my new paint job broke the clutch lever, bent the gear lever.

Put a small hole in my right leg.:(

I hope this isn't how my year will go.

See you all at the family day.

From Crash, maybe I should change my name.

There will also be lots of raffles so be sure to bring your money . We will be meeting at Maccas Yamanto between 7am and 8am then riding to the BP at Blacksoil to join the other riders to head to Esk . Stands up at 9.30. Hope to see everyone one there ????

Ride idea tomorrow

Posted by Ado on December 27, 2018 at 12:20 AM Comments comments (0)
Hi All. I am going to go for a ride tomorrow (Friday) Looking at going to Helidon and coming back through via Back Flagstone Creek Rd. This is the road Jay showed us on her Roads less travelled ride. Morning tea at the floating cafe in Granthum and open to suggestions from there on. Looking for a companion or 2 to keep me company. Leaving Maccas Yamanto at 10 am. From what I can remember, this road has quite a few twisties but nothing to be worried about cheers. Ado

Christmas Lights Night Ride Saturday 22/12/2018

Posted by Amanda on December 19, 2018 at 3:30 PM Comments comments (3)

Hi everyone, hope your Christmas planning isn’t too draining and that you’re finding time to keep sane.

Ado and I have been on a few trips to plan our Christmas Lights Night Ride … and this is what we have come up with.

Leaving Yamanto Maccas at 700 pm ish- we know that the advertised ride says 6:30 pm but what’s the use of looking at lights if the night sky isn’t with us.

We will slow drive-by visit the lights around Ipswich region, and ride to Diane Court Springfield where we will stop for around 15 minutes (there are quite a few houses in a row we can visit). We will then head back to Ipswich for a special visit to the winning street Nova Court. The owners are allowing the bikes to park in their driveway, but unfortunately any tin tops following will have to find theirown park on the street. For the tin tops…there is no parking in Nova Court – so park in the surrounding streets.

We envisage the ride to be approx. 66 klms and we will be on the bikes and in the tin tops for approx. 1 ½ hours. With the stops, we’re looking at around 2 hours.

At the end we invite you to join us at Yamanto Shopping Cent- we thought we might park in the top carpark and visit the Yamanto Tavern for a little drinkie or coffee n cake. Maccas is just a few steps away if you want to visit there.

BTW we will bring the big school bell with us – so listen out for the wonderful sound … when you hear it it’s time for stands up.
