Red Light Camera

Posted by Ado on July 18, 2018 at 11:35 PM Comments comments (1)
Hi All. Just be aware there is a red light camera at the 2nd set of lights when you leave the Yamanto Shopping Centre heading towards Purga/ Brisbane. If you look to the left when you are in line with Super Cheap, just after Maccas, it is on the left footpath. Cheers. Ado

Hi team

Thanks to everyone who either put in an act, supported the acts, provided some gnomes, provided some groans or otherwise supported the 2nd Ipswich Branch talent quest.

We had a blast, despite the Mt Lindesay branch taking the coveted GOLDEN GNOME and the Ipswich branch plaque! I seriously want to be part of a posse to go and get that back from them :-)

Next year we have to win our Golden Gnome back....start practicing!

Update Tyroola motorcycle tyres

Posted by John (Colonel Bow) on June 13, 2018 at 2:40 AM Comments comments (1)

Just an update to the Tyroola motorcycle site, I ordered my tyres today as my front tyre was $131.00 but my rear one had dropped to $88.00 anyway I found out they do not have tyre fitting partners for motorcycle tyres yet.

However all is not lost as I rang around motorcycle places here in ipswich and found that Ultimate Motorcycles at west ipswich will fit them for $22 each. So now with delivery ( $55) to my house and fitting the total cost to me is $317 bucks for 2 PIRELLI ...

Well I recieved a shock when I arrived at the puma at Bundamba on Sunday arvo to refuel for a trip to Allora on monday, after travelling home from our memorial day via Esk. My top box and its mount had dissappeared between the gardens and the puma, lost was my winter jacket my winter gloves my scarf and my unused first aid kit.

Not having the time to retrace my ride until wednesday I knew it would be long gone, I phoned Esk and Laidley police but to no avail. So I have alrea...

Greeting fellow Ipswich branch members. I know some of you can't download photos to our web page and I have had this same problem for quite while.

This can be caused by google or google chrome, I have now fixed this up in google chrome, if you log on to out site and click on add a photo and you get the page but can't download a photo because the down load button is missing, it is the security on google chrome.

To fix my computer I had to click on the icon on the top left hand corn...

As I mentioned at the last meeting if you are in need of new tyres for your bike check the prices at Tyroola  https://www.tyroola.com.au/motorcycle-tyre/sa/

I used to go to Mad Mick's but with these prices I cannot resist.

I am getting these Pirelli tyres

perfect for crusers because of the deep tread in the middle of the tyre, works out to $310 for the set for my bi...

Branch Information Nights

Hi All. A great night last night. We found that Splitty is not as quite as I first thought by being a business development manager by day, he. Is going to bring a new perspective to the branch. Great ideas and the enthusiasm to follow through with it. Silver Fox has taken to his role as ride coordinator with equal if not as much passion. The rest of your committee has decided to continue their wonderful work ethic and will continue to serve the branch selflessly. I look forward to a great and pr... Read Full Post »

2018 Branch Committee

Posted by Ado on April 25, 2018 at 5:10 AM Comments comments (1)
Hi All, As you can see most of your committee were voted back onto the committee. We lost our Ride Coordinator Smurf who is ably replaced by Silver Fox who will do a wonderful job. We also have a Vice President again in Splitty. Judging on how both men reacted to their portfolios I feel they will fit in with the rest of our hard working committee. I have full confidence in the people you have chosen to make decisions on behalf of the branch. I Look forward to another year of being your spokesman... Read Full Post »

Texas overnighter

I just wants to say thank you for looking after me when I had some tire problems far away from home.

I'm in trouble now. Anni think I have been naughty. She reckon I rode like a maniac and the flat tire was one of my punnishments.

To my defence, I was just trying to keep up with the ride leader.

Anyway, we made it home with a few stops to pump up the back tire.

Thank you Sue and Peter for taking Anni and our stuff all the way home to us. Oh - and Anni don't wanna ride ...

You asked for it and the National Committee is pleased to announce that members can choose to pay for their membership on an annual basis rather than three years up front, while the three year membership remains. The annual membership renewal fee is $40 and will be available from 1 April 2018 (no, this isn’t an April Fools joke…)"
