Ipswich Branch Blog Post New Entry

DV Ride Thanks

Posted by Amanda on May 11, 2017 at 7:30 AM

A week has almost passed and I still feel quite emotional and unable to put to words what we achieved last Sunday.   Without the work of many during the lead up and on the day itself, the day would not have been as successful as I believe it was.   The DVAC staff said they were approached by many attendees this year for support.

As I have always said, if our event provides information to support just one person who lives in Domestic Violence - then we have achieved our goal,  NOT NOW, NOT EVER!

I am writing a report for the Newsletter, trying to keep it short, but having lots of trouble because there is so much to write about.

I really just want to Thank each and everyone of you for being YOU and for choosing Ipswich Ulysses Branch to call your Ulysses Home.

Hugs always ....... a very proud Amanda

BTW - we do have some 2017 pins and patches available for purchase @$2.50 each - so make sure you get along to the June Information Night to get yours.  thanks

Thank you for running a ride for such a worthy cause I am glad the rides are going from strength to strength, would love to have helped with the physical side of things but my get up and go got up and went long ago.

Look after yourself Colonel Bow and thanks for your support. If you need anything just call. Not sure if I can find your get up and go though!

I agree with Amandas sentiments. A great day where many people made light work. I am so proud of the members of this branch, members put themselves out there and just get the job done. Your work does not go unnoticed. Thanks a bunch. Ado

I say three big cheers for all those in front and behind the scenes that make our events run so smoothly I for one appreciate all that effort so we can have such great and effective events.
