Our 2nd Annual Talent Quest

Posted by Julz and Doogee on June 3, 2018 at 12:30 AM

Hi all,

Radial here, your Talent Quest MC with absolutely no MCing experience but a bucket load of enthusiasm!

These are the acts for our talent quest! There is room to fit a couple more, so please call me on 0481 066 808 and let me know if you have another entry. Also ring me if I have missed listing your act below.

Go on, you know you want to.....you're secretly practicing singing into a hairbrush in the shower, or you're desparately trying to make a rabbit appear out of a hat, or you're practicing blowing the trumpet out of some orifice somewhere on your body. Actually, that last one, maybe not....

Act 1 -  Old Goat (last years winner!)

Act 2 - Ray (we have high expectations of you Ray)!

Act 3 - Windsuckers Granddaughter (Sheriff can you let me know her name please!)

Act 4 - Tom and Thomas (Cronks and Tank I should say)

Act 5 - Crash (Boom Bang)

TAKE A BREAK - grab a drink, head outside for a smoke, put some $$ in the pokies, mingle, mangle, dingle, dangle

Act 6 - Mount Lindesay (welcome aboard - hope you guys are ready for some laughs?)

Act 7 - Rizz and Logan act 1 (Rizz has one act but split into two cause she has these fancy schmancy costumes!)

ACt 8 - Spook (Spook, so glad you are able to make this date, we love your poetry.....)

Act 9 - Amanda (and friends I think - cant wait to see what you do this year Bling!)

Act 10 - Rizz part 2

Huge thanks to Old Goat for once more setting up his own PA system to use on the night. There'll be plenty of room for our talented (or not) people to move around during their show if they need to.

Cant wait to see you there, bring a friend, have dinner with us before we start the show at 7pm sharp!

Cheers, Radial

What a wonderful night we had last night. With our esteemed and very talented M C. Julz (Radial) leading the night off we couldn't help but have a fun night. The first act was our reigning champion Old Goat who sang to a well known tune but put his own words to it. Unfortunately he had been fighting the flu all week so we were lucky that he was able to perform at all let alone at such a good effort.
Spook read two of his original poems, the second about the Ride to Texas and then a rendition on his mouth organ which earned him 2nd prize . The bash brothers Tom and Thomas (Gronk and Tank) regaled us with how they met up after all the years past. Very touching and heart warming. Crash reverted to his childhood to recite his favourite children's poem as he was growing up. Pity his propeller on his hat was damaged. Then our guests  Mt Lindesay stole the show with a demonstration of sycronised swimming by old farts out of water. They brought the house down to win on the night and have given us a mark to work on collectively as a branch next year. Max Rose continued his witty and thought provoking explanation of what it is like to be a tired old used bike in the back of a shed. Thank goodness I am not a prude. Rizzo then danced up a storm twice, first a waltz then a jive bracket which earned her 2nd place. Toddy finished the night off then riding in on his camel and pretended to be Laurence of Arabia. A huge thankyou to all who participated. An even bigger thanks to the audience without your eagerness the enerainers wouldnt have anyone to play to. Thanks to old Goat for the use of his sound system and Have a chat for judging so expertly
