Konrad Walter's was the founding Webmaster of the Ipswich Branch. Kon was an extremely competent rider and loved travelling down the Lions Road to Kyogle. Last year which was his first memorial ride could not be ridden via the Lions Road as it was still under repair. This year we will honor Kon ( Howza ) by making this ride.
Leaving Yamanto Shopping Centre at 8.30am we will be led by Crash to Rathdowney. There is a small shop if you want to buy a drink. Smoko or restroom. After a short break we will continue down the Lions Road to Kyogle led by our Webmaster Erik. The ride is a memorial to Kon and so will not be regarded as a round of the Wacky Races. Ado will be T.E.C for the whole ride so every rider is advised to ride to their own pace and ability. There are cafes and a bakery at Kyogle where you can buy lunch. You may choose to ride home with the main group via the Sumerland Way or make the return home on your own steam. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. Remember to bring extra water for yourself to combat the heat

Hi there,
Kon really enjoyed to ride from Rathdowny to Kyogle via Lions Road and then back via Summerland Road.
I was hoping we could go that way to honor Kon.
Any chance that can be done?
Getting to and from Rathdowny is not important. He liked either way.
Kon was very important to me so I feel strongly about this one being done his way.
